Prank Week is the fifth episode in Season 1 and the fifth overall episode in the Nickelodeon TV series Zoey 101. Going by streaming and/or production order, this is the 8th episode of Season 1. The episode aired on January 30, 2005.
Plot
Prank Week, a PCA tradition where old PCA students prank new ones, has begun. Since this is the first year girls are allowed at PCA, the guys expect them to just take the pranks and do nothing, but the girls have a different idea. The girls carry out a plan that ends up threatening whether or not girls are allowed at PCA.
Zoey, the leader of the prank group, decides to dress the statue of the founder PCA in ladies' clothes, including panties, a bra, dress, and makeup. However, it just so happens that the son of the founder of PCA was visiting the campus and is appalled by this prank, leading him to expel the girls at the end of the semester. Zoey convinces him to only immediately expel her as a sacrifice to let the other girls stay at PCA. The boys decide to pull another prank (which, surprisingly, was organized by Logan) to let Zoey stay.
Episode Trivia
- Paul Butcher (Dustin Brooks) did not appear in this episode.
- It is unknown why Dustin doesn't appear in this episode, especially since Zoey had to apologize in front of the whole school (which should include Dustin).
- The lime green shirt that Quinn wears was purchased at Gap Kids fall of '04.
- We find out in this episode Nicole's hometown is in Kansas.
- This is the first episode where Dana's hair is worn differently.
- They edited this episode after the first broadcast. originally, Quinn's explosive device goes off and causes everyone on campus to faint, but now the episode ends early. The original ending can still be seen on the season 1 DVD, however.
- Going by streaming order, this is the 8th episode of Season 1.
- This episode reveals that whenever Nicole got nightmares, she would go to her mom's bed to sleep with her. But because she was currently at PCA, she ended up going to Zoey's bed, which frightened the latter the very next morning.
Goofs
- When Zoey says, "this means war" after the girls get water ballooned, the girl behind her is mouthing the same words too.
- There is no possible way the girls could get the underwear on that statue since its feet are attached to the block the statue is standing on.
- It does not seem possible for the boys to turn the statue into a fountain. There is no visible latch that is needed to make this conversion.
- Zoey would've been hurt from the impact of the big red water balloon Logan threw.
- Chase was told to clean the vandalism off the statue, but it was the girls responsible for the vandalism so they would have been told to clean it off the statue.
