Season 1 is the first season in Zoey 101. It has 13 episodes overall. The season was filmed from May 2004 to September 2004 and aired from January 13, 2005 to May 1, 2005.
Plot
In the pilot episode, we meet the main characters of the show. The episode opens with Zoey Brooks, her little brother Dustin Brooks, and their father driving them to boarding school. When Zoey arrives at PCA, she meets Chase Matthews. Chase develops a crush on Zoey when he first sees her, causing him to crash his bike into a pole, and graze his arm. He offers to show her to her dormitory room, 101. Soon after she arrives at her dorm, she meets her new roommates and soon to be best friends, Nicole Bristow and Dana Cruz. Dana and Nicole fight constantly. Soon afterward, Zoey comes across the boys' basketball team and, when she hears the coach talking about tryouts later that week, she tells him she is going to try out. After that, she says to the boys that she wants to try out. Then a boy named Logan Reese claims that girls cannot play basketball as well as boys. Angered, Zoey challenges them to a boys vs. girls game. In addition, Chase's best friend, Michael Barret, is introduced.
