Plot
Zoey, Chase, Michael, Nicole, Quinn, Logan, and Dustin return to PCA. Zoey and her friends are about 14 years old, and Dustin is 11. It is a new year at PCA, and Dana has left for the European Exchange Program. Zoey and Nicole are assigned a new roommate, Lola Martinez. At the beginning of the season, both Zoey and Chase run for Class President. Chase and Michael get their own online show. The sushi restaurant burns down after an accident. This is the season in which the first-ever Zoey 101 movie takes place, "Spring Break-Up" and the only movie that Nicole appears in. Trivia
- This is the first season to feature Lola Martinez, who remained as a main character for the rest of the series and is the replacement for Dana. This is the only season where she would dye her hair various colors.
- Starting with her debut, she would later on appear in every single episode afterwards with the exception of Haunted House and PCA Confidential.
- The main characters (except for Dustin) are in 9th grade in this season, as briefly mentioned by Nicole in Broadcast Views.
- Dustin is in 7th grade this season.
- Dana is no longer part of series and is only in season 1.
- This is the last season to feature Nicole.
- This season depicts the 2005-06 school year at PCA.
- All the images on the DVD cover are from Season 3, as indicated by the characters' older appearances, particularly the fact that Lola lacks her dyed hair and that her cheekbones are more prominent.
- The full intro plays in every episode.
- As of Dana leaving the show, Lola is now shown in the intro.
- Everybody gets new clips for their character in the intro.
- A clip of Quinn dancing when Erin Sanders’s name is shown was from the Season 1 episode Quinn's Date.
- The two beach clips from Little Beach Party are still used before the black out, although the footage of the characters running on the beach from that episode is zoomed in and slowed down, presumably so that Dana is not shown.
- This season is available on Netflix.
