Trading Places is the first episode in Season 4 and the 53rd episode in the Nickelodeon TV series, Zoey 101. The episode aired on January 27, 2008.

Plot

Zoey changes her mind about staying in England, and transfers back to PCA to be with Chase. However, she soon discovers that Chase has recently transferred to Covington to be with her. After Chase and Zoey meet though, Chase reveals that he has to stay in London for at least one full semester. They go on a "date" (using a webcam) with Zoey at Sushi Rox, and Chase in his room at Covington. However, the connection fails, and it takes 3 hours for the two to speak to each other. Realizing that this method won't work, they decide to talk to each other again as soon as Chase gets back from London.

  • The TV show "Girly Cow", also appears on iCarly. A high quality sequence was seen in "iSpace Out."

  • The title represents the fact that Chase and Zoey literally traded places because Zoey came back to PCA and Chase went to Covington.
  • As of this episode, Zoey now has curly hair, regularly.
  • Chase said that he's waited three and a half years to get a date with Zoey, but it's actually been two and a half years.
  • Zoey's room number at Covington was 127.
  • Chase's screen name is Froboy21. This is a reference to Chase having an afro.
  • In the previous episode, Zoey gives Lola her room key before she leaves. However, in this episode, she is wearing it when she comes back.
  • Harry Shum, Jr., who would later go on to star in the Fox series Glee, appears in this episode as Roy, one of the waiters at Sushi Rox. Shum also played Yuki in the iCarly episode "iGo to Japan". Shum's co-star on Glee, Kevin McHale, had a recurring role on Zoey 101 as the nerd Dooley.
  • This is a continuation of Season 3, meaning it doesn't start with a new school year.
    • This is also the second of two episodes that is a continuation from the previous episode, the first being Chase's Girlfriend.
